Dear GCCS Families,
We are in the process of planning for our annual Veterans Day Assembly which will be held on Thursday, November 9th, in our gymnasium. If you have a photo of a loved one(s) who served in the military and/or currently serving and you wish for us to recognize them in a Power Point Slide Deck, please bring a photo of the person (preferably in his/her uniform) to the front office and one of our secretaries can scan the photo and give it back to you.
Please provide us with the following: Name, Rank, Unit, Assignment & Occupation while serving if you have this information.
NOTE: Photos must be received by Friday, November 3rd. Thank you for your collaboration with this special event.

First quarter Parent-Teacher Conferences will be this Thursday, September 28th until 6:00 pm and Friday, September 29th until 4:00 pm. Please note that both Thursday and Friday are Early Release days at 12:30pm.

We invite you to our Native American Day celebration next Thursday, September 14th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. There is no school next Friday, September 15th in observance of Native American Day. Thank you.

Those students that attend after school sessions WILL be expected to work hard to bridge their learning gaps that have arisen due to lack of in-person learning over the past few years. Students will be expected to complete assignments and complete academic activities. There will be few "fun" activities during the week as a result.
"FUN" activities will be limited to Saturday school sessions taking place throughout the Fall semester.

GCCS will begin dropping students off at the Boys and Girls club begining today, Monday, August 7th. If your student is a club member and you would like them to be dropped off at the Boys and Girls club bus afterschool, please make sure you have the check box signed on the student enrollment form or you have turned in this permission slip and returned to the front office. We are accepting the permission slips on file from last year for students.You may also send a note with your student allowing permission to be dropped off at the Boys and Girls club.
