First quarter Parent-Teacher Conferences will be this Thursday, September 28th until 6:00 pm and Friday, September 29th until 4:00 pm. Please note that both Thursday and Friday are Early Release days at 12:30pm.
There will no afterschool activities on Thursday, September 28th due to Conferences. Also, the Boys and Girls club will be open early on both days for students. Thank you.

We invite you to our Native American Day celebration next Thursday, September 14th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. There is no school next Friday, September 15th in observance of Native American Day. Thank you.

Those students that attend after school sessions WILL be expected to work hard to bridge their learning gaps that have arisen due to lack of in-person learning over the past few years. Students will be expected to complete assignments and complete academic activities. There will be few "fun" activities during the week as a result.
"FUN" activities will be limited to Saturday school sessions taking place throughout the Fall semester.

A special edition of the GRIN on the proposed Gila River Indian Community Education Code has been sent home with your student today. There will be a public hearing for the proposed Ordinance Title 11, Education Code tomorrow, Saturday, August 19th, 2023 at 10 am in the Gila Crossing Community School Cafeteria. GCCS will begin dropping students off at the Boys and Girls club begining today, Monday, August 7th. If your student is a club member and you would like them to be dropped off at the Boys and Girls club bus afterschool, please make sure you have the check box signed on the student enrollment form or you have turned in this permission slip and returned to the front office. We are accepting the permission slips on file from last year for students.You may also send a note with your student allowing permission to be dropped off at the Boys and Girls club. Meet the Teacher/Open House will be held this Thursday, July 27th from 4 pm-6 pm. If your student is not returning for the 23-24 SY, please let the front office know as soon as possible.
Also, we have a clear backpack policy for all grade levels this year. These will be distributed at Meet the Teacher and on the first day of school (August 2nd) to all students. Thank you.

Today is the last day for the Afterschool program. Thank you for all your support for the Afterschool and Saturday school program during this school year. Summer School enrollment for 1st-7th grade is still open. Please make sure your student turns in a permission slip, if you are interested.
If your student is returning for the 23-23 SY, please turn in a re-enrollment form and medical consent. The re-enrollment form is available online. Extra registration packets are available in the front office.
Finally, the school calendar for 23-24 school year is availble online and in the front office. Thank you.
