Gila Crossing Families, Due to a water break in the vicinity of the school, we are releasing students on the buses about 20-30 minutes early. Therefore, please expect your students home 20-30 minutes earlier than usual on this half day schedule. Again, we are rolling the buses today about 12:10 to get students home today. Additionally, please remember we are not doing a run today to the Boys and Girls Club, as it will not open until later today. Gila Crossing Families, Picture Day is tomorrow, November 7th. All students may dress up for the occasion and all students will be taking pictures. You may preorder and purchase portrait packages online now with the access code EVT72C43S Extra order forms are available in the front office. Our Veterans Day Program is this Friday, November 8th. Next Monday, November 11th there is no school in observance of Veterans Day. Also, there is no Saturday school this Saturday, November 9th due to the Holiday. Next week November 13th and November 14th will be Parent/Teacher Conferences from 1:00 pm- 4:00 pm. Students are dismissed at 12:30 pm on both days. Please contact your child's teacher to schedule conferences. Also, the Boys and Girls club will be closed on Tuesday, November 12th and Wednesday,November 13th. There will be no Boys and Girls club drop off on those dates. The flu clinic will be next week on Tuesday, November 12th and Thursday, November 14th. Please return consents to the school nurses. Wednesday-October 30-"Team Up against Drugs!"-Wear Sports gear Thursday-October 31-"Spook out Drugs!-Wear a Halloween costume The Fall Festival is this Wednesday, October 30th from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. We hope to see you there! The Halloween Parade will be on October 31st. Students are not allowed to bring any toy weapons to school. Gila Crossing Familiies, Gila Crossing Community School will be offering JUNGLE SAFARI ADVENTURES AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM and SATURDAY SCHOOL SAFARI PROGRAM for our students this Fall 2024. Permission slips have been sent home with your student. Extra copies are available in the front office. —JUNGLE SAFARI ADVENTURES AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM will take place afterschool every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:15 pm to 4:35 pm starting next Monday, 8/19 and will consist of JUNGLE THEMED learning opportunities for our Eagles in both math and reading. — SATURDAY SCHOOL SAFARI will begin this Saturday, 8/17 and take place on the following dates: 8/24, 9/7, 9/28, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/16, and 12/7. The hours for SATURDAY SAFARI will be from 8 am to noon. SATURDAY SAFARI will consist of JUNGLE THEMED fun activities, such as arts and crafts. Gila Crossing Families, We encourage everyone to register your students early for the 2024-2025 school year. All paperwork can be completed, and items can be picked in the front office between now and the first day of school, which is Monday, August 5. The gates and office will be open from 9am to 3pm Monday through Friday. By registering early, you also will get a ticket for a Gift Basket Raffle Drawing. We will be holding Meet the Teacher over 2 days, on Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1, from 3pm to 6pm on both days. BUT, if you register early, you'll be able to skip the lines on those afternoons, and can simply meet with teachers. We look forward to seeing you very soon as we REACH NEW HEIGHTS here at Gila Crossing Community School.
