Gila Crossing Families,
As many of you may know, there was a brush fire yesterday afternoon in the area of Santa Cruz Road. Gila River Fire, Police and EMS are continuing their efforts to battle the fire. Families, which includes both staff and students, in Santa Cruz up to Big Horn Road have been evacuated and as of now, have yet to return home. The wellbeing of our community, students and staff is our top priority, and we have been working with OEM for updates.
We are glad to report that as of now, no persons have been injured, and no structures have been lost as a result of the fire. Please keep those families in your thoughts, with hopes that they are able to return to their homes as soon as possible when they are given the word to do so
